2. Working as an indie (independent developer)
- Try not to be an indie! Publishing an iPhone app/game requires idea, implementation, graphics and music design, testing, documentation, marketing, etc. With more than 700,000 apps in App Store, marketing is more and more important.
- The only advantage of working as an indie is lower the startup cost. Unless your are a super genius, otherwise, it takes a long long time to make you success. Flexible working time may or may not be an advantage, because you need to work much more harder than anyone else. Read the story about Steve Chan (co-founder of Youtube). He works 16 hours per day, 7 days per week, during startup period.
